  20. About PandoFrame
  21. PandoFrame is a MacOS application that allows you to place pictures on your desktop. It’s like Stickies for pictures.

  23. Requirements
  24. PandoFrame has been tested under MacOS System 8.0, and should operate under MacOS System 7.5 or greater. While it has never been tested, PandoFrame may function under earlier system versions.

  28. Installation
  29. • Place the file “PandoFrame” anywhere you like.
  30. • Place an alias to the file “PandoFrame” in the startup items folder in the system folder on the boot disk.
  31. • Re-start your Macintosh.

  33. PandoFrame is now installed and will display on your desktop.

  42. Creating A New Frame
  43. PandoFrame works by displaying pictures in frames. Each frame consists of a picture and a frame color. To create a new frame choose “New Picture Frame...” from the “File” menu. You will then be asked to select the picture you wish to display in the frame. Note: You can not have a frame that does not have a picture in it.

  45. Changing The Frame Color
  46. To change the frame color you must first click inside the frame you wish to change. Note: You must always click inside a frame before you either change the frame color, close the frame or, save out the picture. This is because PandoFrame operates upon the front-most frame. Then select the color you want for the frame from the “Frame Color” menu.

  48. Removing A Frame
  49. To remove a frame you must first click inside the frame you wish to remove. Then choose “Close Frame...” from the “File” menu. You will be presented with a dialog box that contains a preview of the picture, to insure you close the frame you intended. If you decide to close the frame, you will be asked if you wish to save the picture before you remove it.

  51. Saving A Picture
  52. To save a picture you must first click inside the frame you wish to save. Then choose “Save Picture as PICT...” from the “File” menu.

  54. A Word About Memory
  55. PandoFrames default memory setting is 1 MB. All pictures take memory to display. The larger the picture the more memory it will require. Another factor that effects a picture’s size is bit depth, the more colors a picture uses the larger it will be. If you receive an out of memory message then you must give PandoFrame more memory to display the picture.
